WHAT TO EXPECT

The Precision Medicine and Intensive Care Conference will be the first of its kind, focusing on the role of precision medicine in acute care/ intensive care and bringing together professionals from various domains. The event aims to provide a platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and networking among experts in different specialities. This event focuses on advanced precision medicine applications in ICUs and personalized management.

We are thrilled to announce that our chief guest for the conference will be a stalwart of precision medicine in intensive care, Prof. Jean-Louis Vincent. Prof. Vincent is widely recognized for his ground-breaking contributions to the field of Intensive Care Medicine as a Professor of Intensive Care Medicine at the Universite Libre de Bruxelles, Department of Intensive Care, Erasme University Hospital, Brussels, Belgium.

This conference will include a hands-on training program across different disciplines of medicine with a focus on precision medicine and its role in management of acutely ill patients along with recent advances in laboratory diagnostics, artificial intelligence (AI) and big data analytics in treatment. The faculty will include stalwarts and experts in their respective fields who will guide and provide take-home information enabling the delegates to add this personalized treatment to their arsenal.

Event Schedule

This conference will be conducted over 3 days which will include lectures and workshops. The role of precision medicine in today’s time and the road ahead for individualised treatment in the critically ill will be highlighted.  The 1st day (7th February) is dedicated to workshops and next 2 days (8th and 9th February) of scientific sessions focused on intensive discussions to enhance the boundaries of medicine.

The workshop includes a hands-on training program across different disciplines of medicine with a focus on precision medicine and its role in management of acutely ill patients along with recent advances in laboratory diagnostics, artificial intelligence (AI) and big data analytics in treatment. The event aims to arm the specialties towards the future of medicine with take-home information enabling them to add this personalized treatment to their arsenal.

PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS PMIC-2024

Unveiling the Future: Synergizing Precision Medicine and Intensive Care

PMICCON-2024, the much-awaited Annual Conference of the Precision Medicine and Intensive Care Society, got underway on February 7, 2024, with four cutting edge Pre-Conference Workshops sessions. These workshops offer a unique chance to explore the most recent developments in precision medicine and critical care, making them essential for intensivists, doctors, surgeons, microbiologists, molecular biologists, inventors, biochemists, scientists, and researchers.

1. Workshop 1: Precision Approaches to Mechanical Ventilation in the ICU

This workshop will focus on advanced techniques and strategies for mechanical ventilation in intensive care settings. Participants will learn how to apply precision medicine principles to optimize patient outcomes and minimize complications related to mechanical ventilation.

The Workshop on Precision Medicine in ICU aims to delve into the untapped potential of Renal Replacement Therapy (RRT) in critical care settings. By exploring the precise application and customization of RRT for individual patients, this workshop aims to enhance patient outcomes in the intensive care unit setting.

3. Workshop: Pharmacogenomics in Critical Care

This workshop will delve into the field of pharmacogenomics as it relates to critical care medicine. Attendees will learn how genetic variations influence drug responses, enabling them to customize medication regimens and improve patient outcomes in the intensive care setting.

4. Workshop: Molecular Diagnostics for Enhanced ICU Management

In this workshop, participants will discover the potential of molecular diagnostic techniques in optimizing patient care in the ICU. Attendees will explore the latest advancements in molecular diagnostics and understand how these tools can aid in early diagnosis, prognosis, and targeted therapies for critically ill patients.

5. CME: Oral and Gut Health Continuing Medical Education

This CME workshop will dive into the important connection between oral and gut health and its impact on overall well-being, particularly in critical care settings. Attendees will gain insights on preventing and managing oral and gut complications in critically ill patients, leading to improved patient outcomes and quality of life.
